Annual Hydrant Maintenance Personnel

FLSA: Non-Exempt
Bargaining Unit: None
Basic Functions:

Perform annual maintenance on all hydrants within Woodinville Water District, to include:

  • Remove all caps, clean, and apply lube
  • Clean male threads on hydrants
  • Ensure water is available to the hydrant
  • Check for proper steamer port thread
  • Return hydrant to service
  • Clear brush/grass around the hydrant
  • Complete all documentation
Representative Duties and Wages:

Wage:  Determined weekly per one of the two following methods, whichever is GREATER:

  • Piece Rate (per hydrant, approximately 2,700 hydrants):

$1.50 per unit, maximum 2 units per hydrant.

  • Units determined as follows:
    • 1 unit per hydrant ($1.50 to be received if working on a two-person team)
    • 2 units per hydrant ($3.00 to be received if working individually)

OR

  • Washington State minimum wage
    Current rate ($13.69/hour) times the total weekly hours worked
